The Diploma of TESOL is designed for ESL/EFL teachers who want to expand their skills and/or progress into a management role. The course is designed for ESL/EFL teachers who want to expand their skills and/or progress into a management role.
It will provide participants with a range of knowledge and skills to:
- equip graduates with managerial skills for English teaching environments and encourages participation in professional development for career advancement, including Senior Teacher or Director of Studies roles.
- provide in-depth knowledge of major international English tests and the ability to assist learners in preparing for various test questions.
- develop skills in e-learning for this modern world.
- enhance your ability to teach young learners,
- acquire the skills to develop programs for English for specialising purposes. e.g. business, hospitality, tourism, engineering, aviation, or medical English.

This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to develop and/or use tests and activities to assess language learning in an EFL/ESL context. In this unit you will develop the skills and knowledge to manage the performance of staff and direct reports. You will learn how to allocate work and tasks, use performance management processes to assess, monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, provide feedback and manage follow-up. - TAEDEL501 Facilitate e-learning
In this unit you will develop the skills and knowledge required to establish, facilitate, monitor and review learning delivered via electronic media. You will learn how to establish and provide effective introduction to the e-learning environment, use relevant tools to guide and facilitate e-learning, monitor learner progress and review the effectiveness of e-learning and facilitation processes. - NAT11033001 Manage personal professional development
This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to take responsibility for your own professional development. You will identify areas for self-improvement and career progression and take action through reflection, peer observation, networking and other professional development activities. - NAT11033002 Teach international exam preparation
The unit provides the skills and knowledge required to understand the requirements of the major international English Language proficiency tests(TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, TOEIC, Cambridge) and to prepare and deliver lessons to students who need to achieve high results in these tests. You will select the most suitable test for your learners, conduct practice tests to ascertain current level of English and identify gaps in knowledge. You will also learn how to teach students strategies to successfully respond to reading, writing, speaking and listening questions, using vocabulary and grammar that matches test requirements. - NAT11033003 Teach English for specific purposes
This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to teach English for specific purposes such as business, management, hospitality, tourism, nursing, aviation or engineering. You will develop a learning program and prepare lessons to enable learners to communicate effectively in a specialised environment where the required medium of communication is English. You will learn how to determine the needs of your learners, develop program content, select materials and design the structure of the program. - NAT11033004 Teach English to young learners
This unit provides the skills and knowledge required to teach English to young learners in different age groups. You will learn how to plan age-appropriate learning program for particular groups of young learners, teach classes, evaluate resources, manage classroom behaviour, and monitor and evaluate learning,
