About International TESOL College


International TESOL College (ITC) was established in 2009 to provide English Language teacher training to meet the need for professional TESOL teachers and tutors throughout the world. For several years we delivered our Australian accredited and internationally recognised Certificate IV in TESOL course, giving graduates a thorough grounding in the theory and practice of teaching English. This was provided through partnership arrangements with Registered Training Organisations. We no longer deliver training but our courses are licenced to many RTOs that deliver our course, both domestically and internationally. We now focus on continuously updating our Certificate IV course to ensure participants are provided with the most up-to-date information regarding advances in English language teaching.

After identifying the need for a course to build on the skills and knowledge offered by the Certificate IV in TESOL, in March 2022, ITC finalised the rigorous process of accrediting a Diploma of TESOL. The Diploma offers specialisms in English language teaching as well as management, for those wanting to expand their skills without the cost and time commitment of a post-graduate qualification.

In September 2022, after several years of research and development, and liaison with industry experts, we accredited a suite of English courses which are designed as a pathway into further study or employment for all English language learners. We offer all our accredited courses to RTOs that wish to deliver them under licence.

We provide supporting resources, assessments etc for all our accredited courses as well as any assistance RTOs require to add our courses to their scope of registration.

Our TESOL Certificate IV and Diploma courses are also available as online courses and we will soon be offering online professional development courses for English teachers wanting to upskill.

Sue has been actively involved in education for over 30 years as a teacher, trainer, instructional designer and resource developer. She has extensive teaching experience in Business Administration & Management, Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN), English as a Foreign/Second Language (EFL/ESL) teaching, and teacher training (TAE & TESOL).

Having lived and taught in Indonesia, Korea, China and United Kingdom as both teacher and Director of Studies, Sue has highly developed skills in teaching students of different nationalities of all ages and levels, as well as having a good understanding and appreciation of cultural issues affecting teachers of international students. Sue also has taught English at private language schools and TAFE colleges in Brisbane, summer schools in Australia, China, and UK (Cambridge and London), and trained teachers in Australia, Korea and China.

As you can see, Sue has studied, travelled and taught extensively. She currently teaches English only occasionally, spending much of her time conducting research to ensure course resources are of the highest standard and reflect current industry practice.

She is also focused on teacher training and sharing her wealth of information with others so they too can embark on an amazing TESOL career.
